For improving golfers

Have you been playing a few years and want to up your game?  Practice more.  But practice with a purpose.

All golfers ask the same question after having hit one of their best shots.  Why don't i do that all of the time?  The real intent of that question is the desire for consistency.

Very often a prospective student will say to me "I want to be more consisitent, and I have tried everything?'  They fail to realize the contradiction in their words.  Trying "everything" is the antithesis of consistency.

My teaching focuses on the importance of consistency of practice in two ways. First and formost is how often you practice.  Be it one day a week or everyday, make your practice time consistent from one week to the next.  The best practice is short and more often. Secoond is what are you practicing?  There should be a routine you follow.  A simple pattern of warm up and get moving, to build up, push beyond and back down.
